Este ingeniero
comercial vivió en la ciudad de Nueva York por casi diez años,
completando estudios de cine en la NYU, Producción en el Hollywood
Film Institute, actuación en The Gene Frankel Theatre Workshop,
guiones con David Saperstein y ademas tomo el famoso Story Seminar de
Robert McKee el 2005.
Patricio ha
escrito numerosos guiones basados en sus propias ideas y por encargo.
Su guión "El Cuarto Vacío" fue nominado como uno
de los cinco finalistas para el Pipedream Script Award, y también
fue finalista en el Synosure Screenwriter Awards. Su guión "El
Violín" fue finalista en el concurso Chesterfield de Paramount
Pictures. Patricio también fue uno de los ganadores del concurso
de Cuentos Eróticos de la revista Caras el 2005 con su cuento "Santiago
en Nueva York" y también el 2006 con su cuento "Michelle",
obteniendo Mención Especial. Ese mismo año fue uno de los
ganadores del concurso de Cuentos de la Revista Paula con su cuento "Bajo
la Ciudad".
En septiembre
de 2000, escribió, produjo y dirigió el corto en 16 mm Central
Park, el cual fue exhibido en el festival del Independent Feature Project
de New York. Lynch es consultor de guiones en USA y en Chile. Es uno de
los productores de "All Inclusive", film que reúne a
estrellas del cine mexicano junto a las estrellas chilenas Leonor Varela
y Valentina Vargas. "All Inclusive" es el primer film Chileno
que será distribuido por Universal Pictures en México y
en los EE.UU. por Lionsgate.
Patricio actualmente
trabaja con el director Alexander Witt, "Resident Evil: Apocalypse",
para desarrollar algunos proyectos cinematográficos.
Patricio cuenta
con representación profesional en Hollywood y es productor de "Chile
Story de Robert Mckee" (www.mckeestorychile.com).
After taking a screenwriting course in 1996 with Writer/Director David Saperstein (Cocoon, 1985); Beyond the Stars, 1989) in New York City, Chilean-born Patricio Lynch has written several screenplays, three of them for hire.
In December 1999 he completed the Certificate in Film program at New York University.
He has continued taking several courses and attended various filmmaking seminars, including: production at the Hollywood Film Institute with Dov Siemens; acting courses at The Gene Frankel Theatre Workshop in New York; and Robert Mckee’s Story seminar. His first short film, Central Park (directed, written and produced) was screened at the IFP’s 2000 film market at the Angelika Film Center in New York. Patricio’s feature script The Empty Room, (based on a true story), was nominated for the Pipedream Script Award at the IFP’s 2000 film market, and it was also a finalist at the Cynosure Screenwriting Awards. His script The Violin was a semi-finalist at Paramount Pictures’ Chesterfield. Patricio’s current project is two scripts for Director Alexander Witt (Resident Evil: Apocalypse, 2004). He has worked as a script doctor for several. Patricio has won prizes and published three short stories, Santiago in New York, Michelle and Under the City. His first feature film as producer is All Inclusive, co-produced by Panamax Films and starring Mexican, Spanish and Chilean stars. Patricio lived in New York City for almost ten years.
